China winning part of the Russian linseed market from the EU
Linseed exports from Russia in September-May 2020/21 totaled 474.9 KMT (+0.2% y-o-y). China is the main importer with a market share of 56%. It boosted purchases by 46.5% y-o-y, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The EU slid to second place on the ranking of importers, with its market share down at 39%. The purchases slumped by 23% y-o-y.
This season’s exportable surplus will be the highest in four seasons.
Growth in exports was registered to Bangladesh (+268%), Latvia (+96%), Egypt (+52%).
A slowdown in exports was fixed to Mongolia (-100%), Belgium (-34%) and Italy (-18%).
