China to buy pork for reserves as prices dip
China’s state planner intends to buy frozen pork to keep in reserve “in the near future”, informed the state on Thursday.
Due to hot weather and seasonal weak consumption, China’s state planner said pork supply has increased and prices have fallen slightly.
It did not specify the volumes it planned to buy in the statement on its website.
