China sharply cut grain imports in April
In April of this year, China imported 9.117 million tons of grain, including 6.081 million tons of soybeans. This was reported by the Zerno On-Line agency with reference to the Customs Administration of China. In April of last year, grain imports amounted to 14.602 million tons, including 8.572 million tons of soybeans.
Wheat imports fell to 760 thousand tons (-61% compared to April of last year), barley – to 1.15 million tons (-29%), corn – to 180 thousand tons (-85%).
