In central and eastern coastal Algeria, abundant rainfall in February and irrigation allowed crops to recover from previous dry conditions and accumulate above-average biomass.
In Tunisia, an even distribution of rainfall in February and early March, combined with warm temperatures, ensured rapid crop development throughout the period under consideration.
In Libya, heat waves during flowering hindered crop growth in the western coastal belt region, while the main agricultural region in the northeast experienced average to above-average biomass accumulation.
Favorable growing conditions prevailed in the main grain-producing areas of Egypt.
