CBOT corn futures posted gains over the week
During the week of March 13–19, corn prices increased by 7.20 USc to 469.6 USc/bu.
Rising fertilizer prices are worsening expectations for corn planting areas in the US and are also causing concern in Brazil, where farmers have not yet fully secured inputs for planting the second (safrinha) crop.
An additional supportive factor could be a potential decision by the Trump administration to once again allow the use of E15 fuel during the summer period, which would increase demand for corn processing.
