Canada opens market for Ukrainian dairy products
Ukraine has managed to increase the number of goods for export and create new markets abroad. Ukrainian producers of milk and dairy products can now export them to Canada. The opening of the Canadian market will allow entrepreneurs to earn additional funds and thus strengthen Ukraine’s economy.
This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The new market for Ukrainian goods in Canada was opened thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
“We understand the challenges faced by Ukrainian business during the full-scale Russian aggression and are making every effort to create new opportunities for Ukrainian exporters in foreign markets. Opening the Canadian market to Ukrainian dairy products will allow entrepreneurs to earn extra money and thus strengthen Ukraine’s economy. Economic resilience is extremely important for our country in times of war,” said Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Currently, the markets of 31 countries are open to Ukrainian producers of milk and dairy products, namely the European Union, the Eurasian Union, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, and the United States, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Iraq, Jordan, Israel, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Moldova, Montenegro, Qatar, North Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Uzbekistan.
In 2023, Ukraine exported 55% more dairy products than in the same period last year. In January-February, 16.4 thousand tons of dairy products were exported.
