Bulgaria. The weather conditions will be suitable for season tillage and fall planting

Last week’s precipitation maintained topsoil moisture content and improved growing conditions for winter crops. Weather forecast for November 5-8: shows precipitation (2-5 mm) in the western regions, no precipitation in the rest of the country.
The conditions will be suitable for seasonal tillage and fall planting.
Drought continued causing its adverse impact on the 2021 crop – the fall planting is far behind last year (down 56% for wheat and down 49% for barley). There is a risk that farmers will fail to complete this work within the agrometeorologically allowable timeframe, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Corn harvest in Bulgaria is drawing to an end. Despite an increase in corn planted acreage, the 2020 crop will be lower than last year because of a drought-caused drop in yield.
