Brazil. This year’s drought will affect sugar cane production in MY 25/26
According to the local news agency Novacana, this year’s dry weather and fires in Brazil may affect the results of sugar cane production in the central-southern region of the country in the upcoming 2025/26 season, which will begin in April 2025.
According to a survey conducted by Novacana, preliminary estimates of sugarcane production in Brazil in the MY 2025/26 range from 581 to 620 million tons.
Some analysts believe that it is too early to estimate the results of the upcoming season. A more accurate forecast will be possible after the summer.
