Brazil increased sugar exports by 29%
According to the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade of Brazil (MDIC), in July, sugar exports from Brazil amounted to 3.78 million tons, which is 28.5% more than the 2.94 million tons shipped in July 2023.
In value terms, sugar exports in July 2024 reached 1.73 billion dollars, compared to 1.49 billion dollars in the same month last year.
The average price for sugar exported from Brazil in July 2024 amounted to 457.2 USD/t, compared to 506.3 USD/t in July 2023.
