Barley yields in Ukraine exceed last year’s average yields

Ukrainian farmers have already threshed 3.87 mln tons of barley at a yield of 3.79 t/ha, which is 1 c/ha higher than the average last year (3.69 t/ha).
This is reported by AgroTimes with reference to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Statistics Committee.
The highest barley yields are currently in:
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 6.7 t/ha;
- Khmelnitsky region – 6 t/ha;
Ternopil region – 5.96 t/ha;
Lviv region – 5.82 t/ha;
Cherkassy region – 5.06 t/ha.
In terms of gross yield of the crop are leading:
- Odessa region – 658.4 thsd tons;
- Mykolaiv region – 401.1 thsd tons;
- Dnepropetrovsk region – 350.6 thsd tons;
- Vinnitsa region – 265.3 thsd tons;
- Poltava region – 226.3 thsd tons.
