Bangladesh returns to wheat tender purchases
The Bangladesh Directorate of Food Products (DGF) has announced an international tender for the purchase of 50,000 tons of milling wheat on a CIF liner out basis, according to the Zerno On-Line news agency, citing European traders. The tender is scheduled for June 24.
Under the tender terms, shipment will take place within 25 days. The wheat can be sourced from any country except Israel.
Bangladesh has not held wheat tenders since 2025, as it imported American wheat under an intergovernmental agreement.
