Bangladesh: 24,690 tonnes of rice will come from India Thursday

The first consignment of rice under the import agreement signed by the interim government with India will come on Thursday, December 26.
A vessel named MV Tanais Dream carrying the rice will reach the Chittagong port on Thursday, a Ministry of Food press release said on Wednesday, December 25.
Later, the rice will soon be unloaded after the physical examination, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
The rice is being procured under an open tender contract.
