Ban on sunseed and soybean exports outside the EEU may be extended until the new season
In the result of a meeting of the sub-commission for customs tariff and non-tariff regulation and protective measures in Russia’s foreign trade, it was decided on May 14, 2020 to suggest the Eurasian Economic Commission to extend the sunseed export ban until September 1, 2020.
The purpose of this extension is to stabilize domestic sunseed prices and ensure smooth operation of crushers, UkrAgroConsult reports.
A ban has been imposed in the EEU on export of some agricultural products, including sunseed and soybeans (from April 12 to June 30, 2020).
