Average barley yield in Ukraine is a third higher than in the previous season
As of July 20, 39% of the barley crop was harvested in Ukraine. 1.48 million hectares of Tsogorich are under cultivation, which is 8% more than the area in the 2025 season.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, farmers harvested 2.56 million tons of grain of the new harvest with an average yield of 4.41 t/ha (2025: 3.33).
Top 5 regions by average barley yield as of July 20:
- Ternopil region — 7.03 t/ha;
- Khmelnytskyi region — 6.99 t/ha;
- Lviv region — 6.7 t/ha;
- Cherkasy region — 6.49 t/ha;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region — 6.42 t/ha.
In total, 11% of the grain and leguminous crops harvest, as well as 16% of rapeseed, were harvested as of the reporting date. 5.47 million tons of grain and 429 thousand tons of rapeseed were threshed.
