Australia reduced canola exports to a 4-year low
According to Oil World, during October-January MY 2025/26, Australian canola exports decreased by 18% compared to the corresponding period of the previous season to 1.86 million tons, which is the lowest figure in the last 4 years.
During the same period, canola supplies from Australia to the EU decreased from 1.73 to 1.12 million tonnes, to Pakistan from 342 to 0 thousand tonnes. At the same time, supplies to the UAE increased from 54 to 311 thousand tonnes, to China from 0 to 185 thousand tonnes and to Japan from 37 to 196 thousand tonnes.
In January, Australia exported 571 thousand tons of canola (compared to 602 thousand tons in December 2025 and 784 thousand tons in January 2025), of which 369 (462; 543) thousand tons were exported to the EU.
