On Wednesday, Argentina’s Rosario Grain Exchange raised its 2025/26 soybean harvest forecast to 48 million tonnes, a million tonnes higher than previously estimated, citing favorable growing conditions in the west and north of the country.

The Rosario Grain Exchange maintained its corn harvest forecast at a record 62 million tonnes and stated that rainfall over the next 10-15 days will be critical for both crops.

Argentina is the world’s largest exporter of soybean oil and soybean meal.

The soybean growing season is at a critical stage of yield development, according to the BCR’s monthly grain report.

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange forecasts between 25 and 75 millimeters of rain over the next seven days in the northern part of the agricultural hub, with up to 100 millimeters expected in the central part of Santa Fe province.
