Argentina 2023/24 wheat harvest estimate revised down 5% -grains exchange

The forecast for Argentina’s wheat crop during the 2023/2024 harvesting season was cut by 5% to 15.4 million metric tons, the Buenos Aires grains exchange announced on Thursday, citing adverse weather.
The exchange’s previous crop estimate stood at 16.2 million tons.
Recent rains have provided relief to corn and soybean crops but have not been enough to compensate the damage caused by frosts and a drought that previously hurt crops, the exchange said.
