Another 100 thousand tons of corn was harvested in Ukraine last week
As of March 9, grain and legumes were threshed on 11.32 million hectares in Ukraine, which is 98% of the planned amount. This area harvested 54.385 million tons of grain with an average yield of 48 c/ha, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported.
As noted, the harvesting of corn continues, which as of the specified date was threshed on 4.05 million hectares (96%), of which 27.02 million tons were harvested at a yield of 66.8 c/ha. A week earlier, the gross grain harvest was estimated at 26.9 mln tonnes.
“As of this date, farmers in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kyiv, Poltava, Rivne, Zakarpattia and Donetsk regions have fully completed harvesting all crops. At the same time, Poltava region harvested the largest amount of grain as of the specified date – 5.914 million tons,” the Ministry added.
