Almost 5 mln ha of winter crops have been sown in Ukraine

As of October 21, 2025, Ukrainian farmers had sown 4.834 mln ha of winter crops. This is 74.0% of the projected area.
In particular, the following were sown:
- winter wheat – 3.444 mln ha;
- winter barley – 300.3 thsd ha;
- winter rye – 60.0 thsd ha.
Among the leaders in grain crops sowing are Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions.
Poltava and Ternopil regions have completed sowing.
1.03 mln ha of winter rapeseed have been sown. Most of all – in Vinnytsia, Odesa and Khmelnytsky regions. Currently, farmers in 13 regions have completed sowing winter rapeseed.
