Since the beginning of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, over 197 million tons of cargo have already been exported through Ukrainian ports, of which 117 million tons are grain.

This was announced by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba following a working trip to the Odessa region.

“Despite constant Russian terror, Ukrainian ports continue to operate, ensure exports, support the economy, and perform a critically important function for many countries around the world,” Kuleba noted.

According to him, for Ukraine, the effective operation of ports is a matter of state stability, continuous logistics, support for communities, and global food security. That is why Russia systematically attacks grain terminals, energy infrastructure, and logistics routes.

Kuleba emphasized that individual ports are already showing good results in implementing defense systems. In particular, mobile air defense fire groups are being created and other solutions are being used that allow terminals to remain operational even during attacks. This experience is planned to be extended to other port facilities in the region.

As reported, in 2025, Ukrainian seaports processed 82.2 million tons of cargo. This is 15 million tons (14.6%) less than a year earlier. At the same time, the actual figure reached 95.4% of the planned volume for last year.
