Algeria purchased feed barley
On February 3, the Algerian state-owned company OAIC held a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of feed barley of any origin, according to the Zerno On-Line news agency, citing European traders.
Approximately 200,000 tons of barley were purchased at $267-268 C&F. Traders believe the barley will be sourced from Western Europe.
Under the tender terms, shipment will occur between March 1 and March 15 if the barley is of European or Black Sea origin. Shipments from South America or Australia will be delayed by a month.
