Agrometeorological conditions in Ukraine in early June were generally favorable

Temperature conditions during the first ten-day period of summer were close to normal across most regions due to fluctuations between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Maximum air temperatures rose to 28–32°C, while nighttime temperatures were slightly lower than typical for the beginning of summer.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

At the beginning of the period, late short-term frosts were still observed at a height of 2 cm in northern areas of the northwestern, northern, and central regions due to an incursion of Arctic air.

Throughout the decade, precipitation varied from light and moderate rainfall in southern, eastern, and parts of central regions to heavy and prolonged rains in western and northern areas, where in some locations half or more of the monthly norm fell within a single day. Thunderstorms, hail, and in some places strong winds were recorded almost across the entire country.

Agrometeorological conditions during the first ten days of June were generally satisfactory for crop growth, supported by a moderate temperature regime and sufficient rainfall.

Soil moisture reserves under most crops were adequate and satisfactory across the majority of areas. However, due to uneven precipitation distribution, mostly in the form of localized showers and downpours, soil moisture levels in some fields declined to insufficient and unsatisfactory levels.

Mass flowering of winter crops progressed slowly, supported by the temperature regime, available soil moisture, and periodic rains, which created favorable conditions for grain formation and filling.
