7 regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rapeseed
Given the favorable weather conditions, agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine are sowing winter rapeseed. As of September 12, it was sown on 841 thousand hectares, or 87% of the forecast. reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Farmers of 7 oblasts finished sowing winter rapeseed: Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ternopil, and Bukovyna.
Agricultural producers in almost all regions have started sowing winter grain crops, 157,000 hectares of which have been sown, or 3.3% of the forecast:
- wheat – 141 thousand hectares, or 3.5% of the forecast.
- barley – 7.1 thousand hectares, or 1.1% to the forecast.
- rye – 5.4 thousand hectares, or 6.4% to the forecast.
During the previous week, 149,000 hectares of winter crops were sown for grain.
Farmers of Chernihiv region sowed the most winter crops – 21.3 thousand hectares, or 12.2% to the forecast.
