Tunisia purchased a large batch of grain
On December 11, the Tunisian Grain Agency (ODC) held tenders for the purchase of wheat and barley of any origin, Reuters reported.
125,000 tonnes of soft wheat were purchased from the following companies:
- Soufflet – 25,000 tonnes at $257.14
- Finagrit – 25,000 tonnes at $256.16
- Buildcom – 50,000 tonnes at $257.02
- Dreyfus – 25,000 tonnes at $257.02.
Also purchased were 100,000 tonnes of durum wheat:
- Casillo – 25,000 tonnes at $319.68
- Amber – 25,000 tonnes at $317.99; 25,000 tonnes at $319.79; and 25,000 tonnes at $321.29.
Bunge won the feed barley procurement tender and will supply 125,000 tonnes at $269.12.
The tenders included the following:
- 125,000 tonnes of soft wheat (5 batches of 25,000 tonnes) with shipment from January 15 to March 5, 2026
- 100,000 tonnes of durum wheat (4 batches of 25,000 tonnes) with shipment from January 5 to February 20, 2026
- 125,000 tonnes of feed barley (5 batches of 25,000 tonnes) with shipment from January 10 to February 20, 2026
