Bunge used river shipping to export its product to the U.S.
Bunge’s refined sunflower oil was shipped down the river from the city of Dnipro to the Mykolaiv seaport. The transportation was made by LLC United Barge Company (Odesa region) with its own fleet – the Ukraine-flagged tanker UBC Filatov.
In the Mykolaiv port, the oil was transferred to the Malta-flagged tanker Chemical Master. The 5 KMT cargo was shipped to the U.S.
The logistics of the product went entirely along the river, UkrAgroConsult reports.
