Turkish fleet will accompany Ukrainian grain cargoes for exports
Moscow, Kyiv and Ankara have agreed on a preliminary export scheme for agri commodities stored in Ukrainian sea ports.
The Russian side has allowed Turkey to conduct demining in the territorial waters of Ukraine. In addition, the Turkish Navy will accompany Ukrainian dry cargo ships to neutral waters. Then the dry cargo, already under the control of the Russian military, will pass to the Bosphorus Strait to prevent provocations.
The source of the publication explained that such a scheme was agreed only for the port of Odessa. At the same time, the parties have yet to detail the exact route of the ships. It is specified that the “road map” is planned to be approved on June 8-9, when the Foreign Ministers of the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Russia will visit Turkey.
