Wheat reserves in Kazakhstan amount to 15 mln tons

18.5 million tons of grains and leguminous crops were in Kazakhstan’s stockpiles on October 1. The country had 14.8 million tons of wheat. Most of all grain is stored in Akmola region.
According to official data, 18 million 564 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops, including rice, were stored in the country on October 1. 15.2 million tons of grain is food, 2.6 million tons – forage, the rest of the volume – seed grain.
There were 14 million 849 thousand tons of wheat. The main volume – 13 million tons – is food wheat. 536 thousand tons – seed.
Barley is stored in the amount of 2 million 375 thousand tons.
Oats – 222 thousand tons, corn – 228 thousand tons, rice – 277 thousand tons, rye – 54 thousand tons, buckwheat – 57 thousand tons.
It should be noted that Kazakhstan entered the new marketing year (from September 2024) with quite large volumes of grain of old harvest. The volume of grains and legumes on September 1 was 8.2 million tons. Experts called the stockpile “threatening.”
According to the latest data, the country has already threshed 24.1 million tons of grain, including 18.4 million tons of wheat.
