Wheat and rapeseed harvest across China as summer harvest begins
Chinese farmers are reaping wheat crops across the country, as the summer harvesting season begins in late May. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, 7.9 percent of the country’s winter wheat crop has been harvested.
China’s summer harvest focuses on reaping winter wheat and rapeseed. Spanning from May to late June traditionally, the grain output in the period is of great significance to China’s food security.
