Viterra Ukraine acquires silo in Vinnytsia region

In May, Viterra Ukraine expanded its inland storage network with the acquisition of a silo in Vinnytsia region. As a key contributor to the world’s global food supply, Viterra is committed to supporting the Ukrainian agriculture industry, continuing to invest in plans and projects that contribute to its long-term growth and development.
The Penkivsky silo has a storage capacity of 26,000 tonnes and can receive 3,000 tonnes of grain daily. It also has the capacity to load up to 54 railway cars within 40 hours.
Viterra Ukraine Country Manager Oleksiy Derkach shared the news with colleagues in his monthly communication letter. “I want to thank colleagues from our field offices and finance, legal, logistics, food safety, and HSE teams for their work on this project.” he said.
The acquisition of this silo aims to increase direct origination from producers in the region and the flow of goods to Ukraine’s deep-sea ports.
