Vietnam stopped wheat imports from Russia
According to Russia’s Ag Ministry, RosSelkhozNadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), at Vietnam’s request, has stopped the issuance of certificates for wheat supplies to the country following the reported revelation of thistle seeds in a wheat cargo.
Vietnam was the third biggest buyer of Russian wheat in MY 2017/18. In MY 2018/19, exports to the Vietnamese market plummeted by 43%, to 1.2 MMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.
