Ukrainian sunflower oil has shifted its focus from the EU to Turkey and India

In Ukraine, demand for sunflower seeds from processors remains quite high, as an increase in demand for sunflower oil from Turkey and India is expected in May.
According to GrainTrade, specialists note that from April 18-24, demand prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil increased by $5/ton, reaching $1190/ton CIF Mersin and $1200/ton CIF India, while offer prices on these bases were $1195/ton and $1220/ton, respectively.
At the same time, analysts predict that demand from Italy and Spain, traditional buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil, will remain low. The last offer from Spanish buyers was $1190/ton CIF, while Italian buyers did not send any inquiries at all.
According to brokers, prices for sunflower oil in the ports of Odessa remained stable throughout the week at $1130-1140/ton DAP. Prices for sunflower seeds with 50% oil content also remain unchanged at UAH 26,500-27,500/ton, including VAT and delivery to the plant.
