Ukrainian grain export rates lag behind last year’s by 5 mln tons

As of April 14, Ukraine has exported 33.89 million tons of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the 2024-2025 marketing year (July 2024 – June 2025), of which 1.07 million tons were shipped in April.
This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, citing data from the State Customs Service.
As of April 17 last year, the total shipment figure was 38.61 million tons.
By crop, since the beginning of the current season, wheat has been exported – 13.42 million tons (in April – 300 thousand tons), barley – 2.24 million tons (25 thousand tons), rye – 10.8 thousand tons (0), corn – 17.72 million tons (741 thousand tons).
Total Ukrainian flour exports since the beginning of the season as of April 14 are estimated at 55.6 thousand tons (in April – 2.1 thousand tons), including wheat – 51.5 thousand tons (2 thousand tons).
It was previously reported that the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) increased the forecast for Ukraine’s wheat exports by 0.5 million tons – to 16 million tons, leaving corn exports unchanged – 22 million tons, and wheat and corn production – 23.4 million tons and 26.8 million tons, respectively.
It also became known that the Ukrainian agricultural sector in 2024 set a second historical record – $ 24.5 billion in foreign exchange earnings from agricultural exports.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
