Ukrainian farmers can reduce the sowing area of winter wheat by a third. This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky in an interview on AgroPolit.com.
“In the territory controlled by Ukraine, there is a great risk of reduction of at least 30% of sown areas for winter wheat. That is, approximately the sown area can be reduced for winter wheat to 4.4 million hectares,” said the Minister.
Be reminded that last year the areas under winter wheat made up 6,5 million hectares.
According to him, many farmers will look at the situation and decide on what to sow next spring: spring crops, corn or sunflower.
