Ukrainian farmers harvested almost 5.9 million tons of new crop
Ukraine harvested 5 million 882 thousand tons of new crop grain. Agrarians of all regions of Ukraine harvested early grains and pulses on an area of 1495 thousand hectares with a yield of 39.4 c/ha, in particular
- 577.2 thou hectares of barley were threshed (yield – 39.0 c/ha), with 2253.3 thou tons harvested;
- wheat was harvested on 831 thousand hectares (yield – 41.2 c/ha), with a harvest of 3420.2 thousand tons;
- peas were harvested on 85 thou hectares (yield – 24.6 c/ha), with a harvest of 208.9 thou tons.
Mykolaiv region is the leader in grain harvesting with 344.8 thou hectares, and Odesa region has the largest harvest of 1297 thou tons.
Agrarians in Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions have completed harvesting peas.
Agricultural producers in all regions are also harvesting winter rape, which has been threshed on an area of 563.5 thou hectares, yielding 1390.1 thou tons of seeds at 24.7 c/ha.
