Ukrainian farmers completed planting of winter grains
Weather conditions. The weather on November 11-20 was mostly variable, foggy and quite warm for this time of year. Warm weather and optimum moisture supply resulted in favorable conditions for growth and development of winter crops.
Moisture supply. Minor precipitation occurred in the northern, western and central regions of the country, but its amount was within 3.4 mm to 11 mm, while no precipitation was seen in the south and east.
Crop condition. A decrease in the average daily air temperatures (less than 5°С) slowed down active growth of winter grains towards November 20. Farmers have completed planting of winter grains, reports UkrAgroConsult.
