Ukraine’s grain exports reach almost 17M tonnes

Since the beginning of the current marketing year (MY, started on July 1, 2021), Ukraine has exported 16.954 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, which is 2.152 million tonnes more than in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, from July 1 to October 20, 2021, Ukraine exported 11,045 thousand tonnes of wheat (up 1,001 thousand tonnes from the same period in 2020/2021 MY), 4,068 thousand tonnes of barley (up 769 thousand tonnes), 53.3 thousand tonnes of rye (up 51.6 thousand tonnes), 1,602 thousand tonnes of corn (up 199 thousand tonnes).
In addition, over the reporting period, Ukraine’s exports of flour came to 39.7 thousand tonnes (down 19.2 thousand tonnes).
As reported, in 2020/2021 MY, Ukraine exported 44.72 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, in particular: 16.64 million tonnes of wheat, 4.23 million tonnes of barley, 18.4 thousand tonnes of rye, and 23.08 million tons of corn.
