Ukraine will prepare materials necessary for pea export to China in a month

Ukraine will provide China with all the necessary information to open pea exports by August 10. This was stated by the President of the Ukrainian Pulse and Soybean Association Antonina Sklyarenko, the press service of the association reports.
“We started negotiations with the Chinese side back in 2019, and it was a long journey lasting five years. In March of this year, Ukraine officially received permission to export peas to China. Video inspections are currently underway for the Chinese customs administration – we are recording materials in compliance with all requirements and must submit them for consideration by July 31. We will provide a list of Ukrainian exporters by August 10, and then we are waiting for approval. We really hope that this year Ukrainian peas will enter the Chinese market,” the president of the association emphasized.
She also added that cooperation with Chinese partners is taking place in close coordination with representatives of the China Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Import and Export of Food (CFNA). Meetings and negotiations are ongoing, particularly within the framework of global events.
“The opening of the Chinese route will provide Ukrainian peas with access to one of the largest consumer markets in the world,” summarized Antonina Sklyarenko.
