Ukraine. Weather is favorable for growth and development of winter crops

Warm weather with precipitation deficits was observed on October 11-13. Now the weather is favorable for growth and development of winter grains. Decreased night air temperatures and increased air humidity slow ripening and drying of seeds in late crops.
Precipitation was seen almost all over the country, UkrAgroConsult reports.
In most areas planted to winter crops, soil drought has stopped, soil moisture got replenished to optimal and fair levels.
Weather forecast for October 20-25: Precipitation (2-5 mm, locally up to 10 mm) in the western and central regions, with no rain in the rest of the country. Air temperature will be +9 … 11°C in the West and North, +10 …12°C in Central Ukraine, +11 … 13°C in the East, and +13 … 15°C in the South. Precipitation in the western and central regions will favor emergence of winter crops. The lack of precipitation in other regions may adversely affect germination and emergence of winter crops.
