Ukraine to introduce minimum prices for agricultural exports
The mechanism for calculating minimum prices for agricultural exports was discussed at a regular meeting of the Logistics Coordination Meeting chaired by Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the public sector and agricultural associations.
The Parliament adopted draft laws No. 10168-2 and 10169-2, which amend the Tax and Customs Codes to improve foreign economic operations for the export of certain goods. These documents define minimum export prices for agricultural products, primarily for grains and oilseeds.
“The introduction of laws on minimum export prices for agricultural products will create mechanisms to combat shadow exports of grains and oilseeds. It will also establish clear rules for all market participants. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is currently developing appropriate tools to apply these laws. In particular, the minimum prices after the laws come into force will be determined on the basis of the developed methods on the 10th of each month,” said Taras Vysotskyi.
