Ukraine. Thirteen regions completed winter sowing campaign
As of November 8, Ukrainian farmers sown 7.3 million hectares with winter crops, which is 94% of the projected area, Ukrinform reports with a reference to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukrainian farmers have already sown 6.2 million hectares with winter wheat (94% of the projected area), 924 thousand hectares with barley (91%), and 158 thousand hectares with rye. In addition, farmers sowed 1 million hectares with winter rapeseed.
The winter sowing campaign have been completed in 13 regions: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Sumy, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy regions and Bukovyna. Nineteen regions have completed winter rapeseed sowing, forecast indicators have even been exceeded in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
