Ukraine. Sunflower oil refining gained 38%
In January 2020, production of unrefined vegetable oils in Ukraine increased by 18.5% from a year earlier, including:
- sunflower oil – up 15%;
- soybean oil – up 21%;
- rape oil – up manifold, to 17.2 KMT against 0.6 KMT a year earlier.
Sunflower oil refining in January gained 37.5%.
10.2% more sunflower oil had been produced since the beginning of MY 2019/20 than a year earlier, with output of rape and soybean oils up 27.8% and 4.5% year-on-year, respectively. So, it caught up with last year’s volumes.
Seasonal production of sunflower, soybean and rape oils stays at a record level, UkrAgroConsult reports.
