Ukraine started new sugar-refining season of 2023/2024 MY
Ukraine began new 2023/2024 season of harvesting and processing sugar beets.. This was reported by the press service of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine, Ukrtsukor.
“The new sugar production season of 2023/2024 MY has started,” the statement said.
It is noted that according to official data, two sugar factories have started processing beets. One plant started processing in Vinnytsia region and another in Cherkasy region.
According to Ukrtsukor, there will be 29 sugar factories operating in Ukraine in 2023.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ukraine may produce 1.5 million tons of sugar this year.
