Ukraine. Soybean meal exports down almost 35% y-o-y
Soybean meal exports from Ukraine in September-December 2020/21 totaled 187.8 KMT (-34.5% y-o-y) as domestic crush fell in view of a smaller soybean crop, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Export potential in MY 2020/21 will be lower. According to UkrAgroConsult, it will decrease by 40-42%.
As before, the two biggest importers are the EU with a market share of 45% (-35% y-o-y) and Belarus (29%, or -21% y-o-y.
Georgia became a top importer after having doubled purchases.
Growth in exports was registered to Georgia (+98%), Romania (+95%), Moldova (+28%).
A slowdown in exports was registered to Turkey (-82%), Hungary (-52%), Poland (-24%).
