Ukraine sowed more than 210 thou hectares of spring grains and pulses

Twenty regions have started sowing spring crops. As of March 21, Ukraine planted 214.5 thou hectares of grains and pulses (3.8%). Of these, 29 thou hectares of wheat (11.8%), 117.3 thou hectares of barley (14.3%), 53.1 thou hectares of peas (33.2%) and 10.6 thou hectares of oats (6.5%).
Most of the crops were sown in the following regions:
- Odesa region – only 56.7 thou hectares. Of these, 2.8 thou hectares of wheat, 28.2 thou hectares of barley, 20.7 thou hectares of peas and 1.3 thou hectares of oats;
- Mykolaiv region – 1.5 thou hectares of wheat, 24.8 thou hectares of barley, 15.3 thou hectares of peas and 0.5 thou hectares of oats;
- Kirovograd region – 4.2 thou hectares of wheat, 9.7 thou hectares of barley and 5.8 thou hectares of peas;
- Dnipropetrovska region – 3.9 thou hectares of wheat, 8.65 thou hectares of barley and 2.83 thou hectares of peas;
- Poltava region – 4.8 thou hectares of wheat, 18.3 thou hectares of barley, 0.9 thou hectares of peas and 1.4 thou hectares of oats
- Ternopil region – 2.6 thou hectares of wheat, 10.4 thou hectares of barley, 1.5 thou hectares of peas and 1.1 thou hectares of oats;
- Vinnytsia region – 3.3 thou hectares of wheat, 2.8 thou hectares of barley and 2.3 thou hectares of peas.
In addition, the company started sowing sunflower in Kyiv region.
