Rail logistics trends in September 2022
The main trend is a sharp increase in grain transportation to the Big Odesa ports compared to exports through Ukraine’s western borders.
Grain loading rates in railway cars
Rail loadings of cereals grow steadily due to increasing grain deliveries by rail to the “Big Odesa” port terminals. 2.74 M mt of grains were loaded into railcars in September 2022, on average 94 K mt per day (56 K mt in August). Loadings totaled 3.7 M mt y/y.
