Ukraine sends 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria — Zelenskyy

Ukraine has sent 500 tons of wheat flour to Syria as part of the humanitarian program.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this on the X social network.
“As promised, we are supporting the Syrian people in their time of need. 500 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat flour are already on their way to Syria as part of our “Grain From Ukraine” humanitarian program in cooperation with the WFP,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, it is planned that 33,250 families, or 167,000 people, will receive flour in the coming weeks.
“Each package weighs 15 kilograms and can feed a family of five for one month. We wish Syria and its people safety, stability, and recovery. We know the true value of these things,” the president emphasized.
In mid-December, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with government officials the issue of food aid to Syria under the Grain from Ukraine program.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
