Ukraine. Premium for later corn delivery is a positive signal to the market
The revival of corn exports has been facilitated by the revitalization of Asian and African markets since the beginning of the year.
Alexander Solovey, the commercial director of Spike Brokers, told about this in his column in The Ukrainian Farmer magazine.
According to him, one of the signals that the market can give to any participant is the presence of the so-called premium for later delivery periods.
“Currently, the premium for March delivery can be up to USD 5/t compared to the January price on CPT terms with delivery to the port.
European markets, in particular Italy and Spain, also trade a certain premium for later delivery periods,” said Mr. Solovey.
