Ukraine. Planting campaign is at the final stage

According to the latest update as of November 14, planting of winter grains is 2.0% behind last year. The area planted to winter rape is already 7,0 Th ha above the official forecast and up 5.0% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult

Corn harvest accelerated to 11.2% ahead of last year, its yield is down 6.7% from last year. The official forecast for the corn harvested area was reduced by another 3 Th ha. Buckwheat harvest is actually finished (66.7 Th ha harvested out of the total 67.6 Th ha), the grain crop is down 33.8% year-on-year. Millet harvest is 71.9% ahead of last year, with 18.1% higher yield than in 2018.

Harvest of sunflower and soybeans is 99% complete, with 52 Th ha and 17 Th ha remaining to be harvested, respectively. The official forecast for the sunflower harvested area was lifted by 1 Th ha.
