Ukraine. More than 1 Ml ha planted to spring crops
According to official data, planting of early spring grains was more than half complete in Ukraine as of March 26, 2020, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Despite an early start to this work, its pace is behind last year for crops such as:
- spring wheat (-12%),
- spring barley (-21%),
- oats (-6%).
Pea planting is 49% ahead of last year.
The planted area of sunflower already equals 15 Th ha, whereas its planting had not yet begun by March 26, 2019.
