Ukraine maintains the leadership in the supply of oilseeds to the EU

In July-September 2022/23, the European Union increased its purchase of oilseeds by 16% to 5.4 million tons, according to Eurostat data.
Thus, during the specified period, Ukraine sent 1.68 million tons of oil to EU countries, increasing the supply by 88%. Next comes Brazil with an indicator of 1.63 million tons (+2%) and the USA — 1 million tons (+7%).
The share of Ukraine for the specified period, compared to the average 5-year indicator, increased from 19% to 31%.
Our country is also a leader in the supply of vegetable oils to the EU. During the 4 months of the season, Ukraine exported 513,000 tons (+19%) of oils to Europe out of 1.95 million tons of total European imports. The share in supplies increased from 20% to 26%.
